Since Cheyenne is an original character, the only one who knows a lot about her is me. And since her app is full of much tl;dr, I've summarized some key things to know in a handy little list!

About Cheyenne
Cheyenne is an illusionist. Because she is missing most of her own soul, she needs to feed off of other souls to stay alive. However, while Cheyenne's powers may be evil, she isn't. She won't feed on people without their permission. Unlike other illusionists, Cheyenne is capable of (very limited) emotions and she'd feel guilty for doing so. Unless she is deprived of food for too long and loses her sanity, that is.

tl;dr about souls
In this case, the soul is more like a physical thing that makes up who a person is, which can be drawn out in the form of a silvery glowy string. Illusionists categorize the soul into four parts:

Length: A person's will to live. The more someone is willing to fight to live, the longer it will appear when drawn out.
Strength: Defined by a person's personality. If a person is strong-willed, they'll have a stronger soul that's harder to break apart and feed on.
Potency: The emotions a person feels, including feelings like love and hope. This part is delicious.
Power: A person's natural stamina and energy. Comparable to an HP bar in RPGs, it replenishes itself with sleep and food.

Illusionists usually feeds on people by forcing them to experience an extreme emotion: fear. This causes the Potency of a soul to become more apparent and she can draw it out from the rest of their soul. That's why her default illusion is always a person's greatest fear. If this happens and she feeds for longer than a few moments, the person may be without emotions for up to a week. If she were to take more than 50% of their soul's potency, the effects would be permanent unless Cheyenne were killed, allowing the person's soul to return to them.  These kinds of illusions are usually accidental or used for self-defense.

Since Cheyenne is a good little illusionist, she's figured out a way to feed on a person's Power instead. This will just make the other person feel tired or sleepy, and she can create a happy or peaceful illusion without needing to upset the other person. These kinds of illusions must be intentional.

In regards to her powers and (accidental) illusions:
1. If you accidentally look into her eyes, your character will immediately see an illusion of whatever it is they fear the most.
2. It is possible for a character to not be afraid of anything assuming they are badass, in which case, everything will just fade to white.
3. Cheyenne can't see the illusion she makes, since it'll all be in your character's mind.
4. Breaking eye contact breaks the illusion, but doing this by yourself is very difficult if you've never done it before. A third person would have to intervene.
5. If you see her eyes through something, such as sunglasses, tinted window, etc. you will not be affected by her powers due to the powercap, so you'll be able to see her eyes. Her eyes look like the inside of a mussel shell with no pupil or sclera.
6. For witnesses, the victim will basically be freaking out/crying/screaming while a strange silver thread is pulled out of their chest. This is how she eats people's souls. Yum. B)
7. Feeding twice a week will keep her happy, but once a month will keep her alive. There's no guarentee that she'll be able to stay sane, however, only eating just enough to get by.
8. Cheyenne's eyes can trap more than one person at once. However, they won't both necessarily see the same illusion.
9. Aside from her powers, Cheyenne is fairly weak and unable to fight.

In regards to interactions:
1. She sees people as shades of light/colors based on their soul, with or without the blindfold. If your character has no soul, she'll see them as an inanimate object.
2. Inanimate objects and creatures without souls appear in faint grayscale. She can still see these with the blindfold on, but not as clearly. She'll also have a lot of trouble telling people like this apart from each other.
3. Because she's technically a cursed being, touching her will give you a horrible chill and fill your mind with negative emotions and thoughts. Hugs: not a good idea. :|b This effect grows weaker the closer she feels towards a person.
4. She can't see the text on the page well enough to read, so any written entries and comments will be ignored.
5. She will lineface :| at you always and forever. Her own emotions are often very muted, and she has trouble understanding the emotions of people around her.

--

With that out of the way, here's a the stuff I'd like you to fill out, if you don't mind!

1. Character name:
2. Does your character have a soul? I use the word "soul" because it's part of Cheyenne's history and fits the best, but really, almost anything that is alive and has a consciousness would have a soul in regards to Cheyenne's powers! The only cases where a character wouldn't have a soul:
+They are canonly stated to not have a soul for whatever reason.
+They are 100% robotic/man-made.
I am open to making exceptions for those of you who believe your character should still have a soul, or have a good reason for why they would not!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?:
4. What is their greatest fear? IMPORTANT: This part is optional. You are free to either keep it a secret (in which case, the illusion itself is hand-waived and only their reaction is played out) or leave it blank so you can describe it yourself in interactions. It can be something physical (monster, villains, spiders) or something emotional (death, losing a loved one, being alone).
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: For instance, if your character is actually two people, she would feel the presence of two souls. If your character is a God, they will have a very delicious powerful-looking soul.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Since the soul does make up a person, certain things can be seen right away. Their soul will look very short if that person has no sense of self-preservation. If a person is feeling an intense emotion, they'll appear brighter than usual. People who are very strong will be in bolder colors, and people who are very weak will appear more neutral. She won't go around sharing what another person's soul looks like, but she may bring it up with your character.

ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING. Since souls aren't the kind of thing you can just sell in a bottle for eating if there is a canon with that, I would be so amazed, Cheyene will need to find volunteers willing to be fed upon. Keep in mind, these would be the peaceful illusions that cause no harm to a person, not the scary lose-your-emotions illusions! If you have a character who might be open to this, please let me know! If you aren't sure, Cheyenne will probably make a post asking IC at some point as well.

Totally volunteering Crys up for this.

1. Character name: Crystal
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes~!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? It's not stated in canon, so I wouldn't know, but i'm putting down the fear of failing here, because that's one thing that would affect her a lot. Other than that, her loved ones dying, and/or her Pokemon getting injured would do too.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Hmm, she's a Pokemon trainer? And therefore she has Pokemon, but i don't see how this would really affect her / Cheyenne.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Definitely.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Yes~

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2010-09-08 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I'm gonna say to leave Mrs. Brisby alone, and... it's just not a good idea to try and feed on Moro (no matter how tasty that soul looks :|a), so I'm going to fill this out for Yellow instead.

1. Character name: Yellow
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
4. What is their greatest fear? The deaths of her friends, of pokemon, genocide (and by extension, a particular red-head haunts her nightmares), dying, not being able to help and heal others...
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She has the ability to heal wounds, especially those of an animal. She's also able to increase the power of her soul through a high morale, which synchronizes with her own pokemon and makes THEM stronger. How that would present itself in her soul is up to you.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? See above
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If Cheyenne needed help, Yellow very much would allow it.

In the event that you actually WANT to fling her at Moro,

If she initiates eye contact, does the target become immobilized UNTIL eye contact is broken? Is there a moment where the victim needs to regain their senses? Would especially powerful souls be reeling after being fed off of?

[identity profile] derek-bliss.livejournal.com 2010-09-08 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
1. Character name: Derek
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes, although it's in the process of being devoured by a demonic infection.
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? NA
4. What is their greatest fear? That he'll finally turn into a vampire and kill/infect a lot of people in Luceti.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: well, his permissions post is here (http://derek-bliss.livejournal.com/329657.html?nc=12). Feel free to glean what you want from it
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? definitely not. For obvious reasons.

[identity profile] oda-hates-me.livejournal.com 2010-09-08 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
1. Character name: Sanji
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes he does |D
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Silence. Being alone. People close to him being killed. And yes, I made a list because I can't really pick one that scares him more than the other. 8[
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: In terms of souls? I don't know if this counts, but his will look pretty powerful - definitely not a god, but it helps being a character from a shounen series.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure, that's fine.

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If he found out about her plight, definitely. So long as it was clear he wouldn't die and he would recover.

Twofer!

1. Character name: Link
2. Does your character have a soul? Yup
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
4. What is their greatest fear? Abandonment - being left without anyone to rely on or to look after him.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He has the Triforce of Courage, which is implied to have parts of the powers of a goddess. It... hasn't really been described properly in canon, but my headcanon says that it basically gives him endless determination and that he'd never really give up, so that may affect how she sees his soul?
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Go for it!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? ...Let's say yes, but only after she's explained that it won't hurt him.

1. Character name: Zelda ([livejournal.com profile] eeeek_a_rat)
2. Does your character have a soul? Oh yes.
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
4. What is their greatest fear? Being completely helpless and seeing things turn to ruin around her and not being able to do anything. ...And rats and mice. HARD.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Don't know if this'd show, but her soul has actually been kicked out of her body before (long story short - she ended up as a ghost, her body was possessed by a Demon King, and she and Link - the one from Spirit Tracks, not the one above - had to get it back). That... might show?
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? ...Hmm. She may change her mind later, but for now, no. Different views of souls, so she'd be kind of freaked out at the idea of someone feeding on her soul, since she equates it to her conciousness.

1. Character name: Kratos Aurion
2. Does your character have a soul? Yup! A very old soul at that.
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Losing the people he loves and depends on. This would probably be his son, Lloyd.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He is OLD. REALLY REALLY OLD. Like over four thousand years old. Thus, he has a looooot of Power.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yes!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If she explained herself before doing it, maybe.

1. Character name: Okami Amaterasu
2. Does your character have a soul? That she does!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? ... You know, I'm really not sure. Ammy has not been shown to be canonly afraid of ANYTHING. Sudden things make her jump, yeah, but who wouldn't do that? I guess... she fears darkness. And not like night time or anything like that, but the complete absence of the sun and of light.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She's the goddess of the sun. That's pretty much all she'd need to know. :|b
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? But of course!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Probably not :|a As benevolent as Ammy is, her soul is pretty important to her.

1. Character name: Alfonse Zena Meridia
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes.
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Namely, the fall of the Meridian Empire or the loss of his loved ones.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Nah. What could be considered special is unknown even to him from his current canon point.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? A-yep.

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If/once he learns she'd need to in order to sustain herself, yes. Definitely.

1. Character name: Luke fon Fabre
2. Does your character have a soul? III'll say yes |Db
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Two things: Accidentally causing something like the Akzeriuth Disaster again and everyone he knows completely rejecting/abandoning him for what he's done and what he is. Both would absolutely terrify him.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He's a REPLICAAAA.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yes yes!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Mmmm probably, since at this time he doesn't feel like his soul is worth much of anything 8|a

1. Character name: [Bad username or site: poppetry title= @ livejournal.com]
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? ~
4. What is their greatest fear? Her own monster form -- since to her it would represent her failure, being a mistake, no better than a puppet, and betraying the trust of her friends. It's like every bad thing rolled up into a nastyass monsterbeast!
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Xion is a Replica -- she is a clone made from Sora's memories of Kairi. Technically she is a piece of Sora, but she looks and sounds pretty much exactly like Kairi. So they'll be similar, if Cheyenne ever meets them both, but they are quite different in personality.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure! Xion's like an open book anyway.

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Yes. Though Xion would obviously have to get to know her first, she would probably be willing to do this sort of thing.

I have a second, but I'll edit Ace in later after he's, like, been introduced.

"if there is a canon with that, I would be so amazed"

There is, actually! Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You can sell Poe (a ghost-like monster) souls after catching them in bottles.

1. Character name: Guy Cecil || Gailardia Galan Gardios
2. Does your character have a soul? Aye |D
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? n/a :|
4. What is their greatest fear? His sister's death. I can explain in more detail if it ever gets threaded, it's a long story.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: NEIN
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If they got to be close and he found out that she'd die/go crazy otherwise, yes.

1. Character name: Noel Vermillion
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?: N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Noel's fearful of quite a few things. Let's see... the deaths of her loved ones, failing to protect her loved ones; hell, anything bad happening to her friends is something she's scared of. Bugs. Probably losing control and turning into Mu against her will again. Dying. ... And hell, why not -- Hazama.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know? Noel's a clone of someone else; NOT JUST YOUR NORMAL CLONE, THOUGH. She's also been genetically engineered to be a weapon. It's weird. And really difficult to explain, because this canon likes to be difficult. B|

Another thing I should probably mention -- Noel's existence is... an oddity in her world, to put it simply. There were timeloops in Noel's world, and in some of them she didn't exist. Yeah. It's also noted by another character in canon that they couldn't detect any presence from her; as if "she were air." Yet someone else in canon says she has a "burning soul."

... 8|

Regardless, I'm not sure what impact that'll have on Cheyenne, so... yeah! :D;;;
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Go right ahead!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? She'd have to get to know Cheyenne better; that would make things a lot easier. However, if she explained it to Noel, then she'd probably want to help her out, even if the idea makes her nervous.

1. Character name: Nami (this journal)
2. Does your character have a soul? Yup!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
4. What is their greatest fear? Losing her crew.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Uhh, not really? Though she's incredibly strong-willed/has a strong will to live - the girl's an emotional mountain, so her soul will possibly be hard to nom on but tasty?
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? It would probably freak her out, soooo unless she actually comes to have a close relationship wtih Cheyenne, probably not.

1. Character name: Katie McCoy | [livejournal.com profile] flicker_flash
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes! Two of them!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
4. What is their greatest fear? The dauntain (agents of banality in her world that destroy changelings where they find them). Cold iron. ...dauntain bearing cold iron, as they often do.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She has two souls; one is a human child's, one is an extremely colourful, magical and old soul overlaid over the first and sort of ...mingling together with it. I imagine the magical soul might...taste interesting. I don't know.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Certainly!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? It depends on how it's explained to her, but Katie'd probably be willing. o/

3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Losing his loved ones, failing everyone and most likely losing his sense of self.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Aside from having the sleeping powers of some of the Bel demons he defeated inside him, nope, but then again, he can't use them at the moment. HE'S A DEMON KING. 8Db There's also the fact that he's [SPOILERS]one of (Biblical) Abel's reincarnations[/SPOILERS].
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yes
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If they're really close and she explains it to him, maybe. He'd probably be worried about the Bels affecting the feeding.

I'm posting this because I don't mind Cheyenne trying to mess with most of my characters, but I will warn that it may not be good for her to do so in two cases.

1. Character name: Yuber
2. Does your character have a soul? Amazingly enough, yes.
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Living forever (amusing, because he is immortal and has lived at least four centuries already)
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Considering that in canon True Runes are described as being sentient and pretty much like gods in Suikoden canon, I do define a True Rune as also having a soul. Yuber does indeed have one, it is a bit more well hidden than most but Cheyenne will likely find it.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? I actually do not mind, as long as she doesn't go talking about it to others. You may say she doesn't, but he is a dangerous person who people want to know weaknesses of (not that he has many).
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Probably not unless he found her to be of interest in another way, but since you say she's not evil, that's doubtful. So I will say that despite her otherwise not being able to defend herself, Yuber will count this as an attack on himself and consider her someone he can attempt to kill.

Also, of note with Yuber, since he has a form of teleportation that requires no ability to speak or move and from what I can gather in canon is often involuntarily activated if he's in danger, there is a possibility that Cheyenne will gain nothing from him because he vanishes before she can feed. If she actually does feed from him, he won't feel tired, because he's actually immune to being put to sleep or knocked unconscious.

1. Character name: Arshtat Falenas
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Harm being done to the people she loves (of which only Freyjadour is in Luceti)
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Arshtat is like Yuber, she has a True Rune and it is very sentient, so Cheyenne will be able to detect a second soul based around Arshtat's forehead if the Sun Rune is not in control. If it is in control, the two souls would merge for a time is my thought on what Cheyenne would see.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? I'm cool with it, but please do not tell others about the Sun Rune since Cheyenne will definitely be able to detect that presence and the fact that it can manipulate Arshtat.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Arshtat actually would consider it, her main fear would be that the process of feeding would seem like a threat still and risk the Sun Rune taking her over. If Cheyenne could come up with a way around this, Arshtat would indeed be willing because she's a kind person at heart. But realize that feeding on Arshtat will definitely always be a risk.

And I went over the comment limit, so will give you info on my third in another comment.

[identity profile] blackenedchaos.livejournal.com 2010-09-08 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
1. Character name: Erim
2. Does your character have a soul? This is actually questionable since she is described as being energy given a physical form and it's hard to say if something like that does have a soul. But let's just go ahead and say she does and since she's pretty much a god in her world, would be very delicious.
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? That she will do something to mess with destiny again and cause many deaths.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Erim is a goddess of death basically and any illusions Cheyenne may use will be pretty useless on her. It will also appear like feeding on her soul has little to no effect on her (can't make someone who has no need to sleep feel tired really) so she will be a desirable person to feed from.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Like with my others, as long as she keeps it to herself, I'm good with it.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Erim actually would, especially if she knows it will do little harm to her.

[identity profile] blackenedchaos.livejournal.com 2010-09-08 11:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it all depends on how it runs. Thing is, if Arshtat feels threatened, or anyone she loves becomes threatened, Sun Rune takes over and the Sun Rune is a bitch that thinks blowing up Luceti would be a great idea (and can do it even at half power), even if it isn't being fed from.

That is where the problem lies with that thing. See, I'm totally cool with volunteering characters up, but I'm kinda hesitant to go ask the mods if I can blow up Luceti as a result of it.
