[The video feed is dark. It's very early in the morning and the sun hasn't quite come up yet. The voice on the other end should be familiar to a few, but she should sound uncharacteristically shaken.]

[And you would be too if you suddenly woke up and couldn't see anything.]

I am not sure exactly what has occured, but I seem to have suddenly found myself to be blind.

[A pause.] That is to say, blind in terms of an illusionist. It seems I cannot sense anything anymore.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I am uncertain as to what I should do in a situation like this...


[ooc: Cheyenne has been turned into a flame eleman! She's essentially a human with the ability to create fire at will. And with exception to her usual lack of emotions, all of her illusionist abilities and powers are gone.]

[While usually Cheyenne would have seen him reaching for her hand, being unable to sense him, she doesn't realize it until he already has her hand.]

[And it feels cool to the touch.]

[Which may not sound too amazing, but when your body temperature is normally that of an ice cube, everything else usually feels warm. As a flame eleman, Cheyenne is now the one who feels warm; the average body temperature of a flame eleman would be the equivalent of a rather nasty fever for a regular person.]

[So, he'll have to forgive her for completely ignoring what he said moments ago and instead reaching up with her free hand and touching it to his chest.] ...my powers are... this is...

[...yeah, she's kinda speechless.]

[That's okay; he expected something like this, really. It's why he hadn't moved just yet. He's also marveling over the fact that he's not feeling any sort of unpleasant effects; all of the self-hate, insecurity and despair he felt last time he touched her isn't happening at all. He feels the same as always.

His smile turns into a grin once she touches his chest, again amazed that he's just as happy as ever. There's no pressure. No sense of foreboding. He wouldn't have hesitated even if he thought he'd feel all of those things, but it's still pretty amazing.]

Pretty cool, huh?

[Cheyenne continues to marvel at the touch, feeling Luke's shirt under her fingertips. If she slides her hand up higher, she can feel his chest rise as he breaths. It's warmer than his hand: something she probably wouldn't have noticed before. And it's different from touching someone while sensing their soul... she can't quite explain it, but despite her newfound ability to be physically closer, there's still a sense of distance between them...]

[But that doesn't stop her from taking a step forward and wrapping her arms around Luke, giving him a rather sudden, warm hug.]

[If she knew what "bliss" was, she would probably use it to describe how she's feeling right now.]

[Action] M-M-MOEEEE

[The hug nearly threw him off and made Luke tense just a bit. He remembers the last time this happened - things were okay for a while, but then...

... And this isn't what's going to happen now. For now, Cheyenne can touch him and he won't feel any negative side-effects. Luke relaxes when he reminds himself of that. Yeah... This is really surreal, and in a good way.

He's about to make it even more surreal by lifting his arms to return that hug. This is much more different, much warmer than last time. Much... nicer.]

[Oh, that definitely made things much more different than they were moments ago. After all, this wasn't just giving someone a hug... this was being hugged by someone else.]

[She isn't quite sure how to categorize the feelings swelling in her chest right now, but they aren't unpleasant feelings. Were they the result of the hug? Is this what it felt like when other creatures embraced?]

[By the way, she doesn't seem to be interested in letting go anytime soon. While the first minute or so is probably rather pleasant who else but Guy wouldn't enjoy a nice hug from a pretty girl? Luke's arms have got to tire eventually.]

[Yeah... he's definitely had long cuddle sessions with Xion, but this is kind of different. Eventually his arms do get kind of tired, and he can't help feeling a little awkward, as much as he loves just making her happy now that she can see and feel. Speaking of seeing, though...

To try to get her attention, Luke raises one hand to rest it on top of her head.]

Hey, Cheyenne... There's still something I've got to show you.

[Action] /shh this isn't late

[She looks up when she feels that hand on her head, but she still hasn't let go of Luke just yet.]

Something to show me? What is it?

What the outside looks like.

[He won't move just yet. He wants to be assured that she actually wants to see it first.]

[Action]

Outside... [There was an experiment in the past that had given her eyes to see the village, to see various villagers, but they belonged in the memories of herself as a small child. They were vague, blurry, and difficult to recall.]

[But now? Now she could see everything as it was meant to be seen, as others around her would see them. Just her apartment had looked to be a different world altogether. How would the entire village appear?]
