[The last event left Cheyenne in a weird place and since then, she's been rather scarce around the village. Aside from getting food at one of the village restaurants, she's spent most of her time either in her apartment or in the forests just outside the village. Today, she's actually back to her usual spot: sitting on the edge of one of Luceti's many bridges, looking down at the water.]

[A few hours of this goes by until she finally opens her journal and poses a question to the residents. The very thing that's been on her mind all this time.]

It is not uncommon for others to ask questions using these journals, yes? [A pause. She wasn't really expecting an answer to that.]

I can't say I have ever heard of such a creature, although I suppose it being another world, that is to be expected.

A dullahan is what you might call a headless horseman. It's a type of Death.

Death? I was not aware "death" could be a sentient creature.

Romantic? I cannot possibly see what could be romantic about death. Although I suppose my limited understanding of what romance is does not help...

A lover's suicide, the last thing you'll ever see... there's all sorts of romantic notions about the end!

I was under the impression most creatures found death to be an overall unpleasant experience...

I imagine it would be rather difficult to do so.

Very much so! So us mortals imagine what it must be like.

Is it preferable for a situation to be romantic?

Of course. A romantic idea is a lot less scary than a horror one, or even nothing~ ah, nothing can be a scary thing indeed.

Nothing? [Head-tilt.] How can "nothing" be frightening if it is indeed "nothing"?

Because if it is indeed "nothing" then you will be "nothing."

But if you are nothing, how can you be afraid? You need something to be afraid of, and nothing is not something, it is nothing.

Because right now, you are something. If you become nothing then... there's nothing. It's a scary though, Cheyenne-chan.

...I see. Perhaps this is something I am simply incapable of understanding.

As far as I am aware, my kind cannot feel fear.

Not at all?

[There's a short gasp here]

Not that I am aware of. While it is an emotion I am capable of seeing and understanding, if is not one I can say for certain I have ever felt.

[A pause.] Although I suppose there is the possibility I have simply never seen something that would capable of frightening me.

[voice]
