[Even in tense situations, Cheyenne was generally a very calm person. But the voice coming through the journals right now sounds very strained. There's a small cut on her cheek and a bit of blood on the other. She's trying to keep her voice steady, succeeding for the most part. But oddly enough, it doesn't sound like she's in pain. The way she's breathing and the manner she seems to be holding herself almost gives the impression that she's afraid of something.]

[But this was Cheyenne. That couldn't be it, right?]

I don't suppose... there are any healers in town willing to make house calls?

[He's never put Cheyenne as being unable to express even some emotion in her words, because he stubbornly refuses to believe that she doesn't have any to share. So when he hears what sounds like fear, he's more than just a little worried.]

Cheyenne? What is it? Are you -- are you hurt?

I... believe I may have broken something. [She takes in a short, quick breath as she accidentally shifts her hand. Despite her pain, she's trying to smile. It probably just seems creepy.]

My wounds don't seem to heal as... quickly as they usually do. I'm certain the barrier is to blame.

[Forget creepy, the fact that she's trying to cover up something with a smile sets of all sorts of alarms. He chews on his lower lip once.]

I'm no specialist when it comes to healing, but I know a couple of spells. . . . Would it be all right if I tried?

I would appreciate any effort, so long as it would be of no detriment to yourself.

Of course not. Do you want me to come over right now?

Sooner rather than later would be preferable. I've already held off asking for help in the hopes my body would be capable of eventually regenerating on its own.

Ah... I'm afraid not, but it will speed up the healing process immensely and relieve most of the pain.

I'm pretty handy with healing spells, in a pinch. [Her recent efforts in the Battle Dome clinic have removed any doubts to that regard.] Magic, of course.

The building I live in is one of the further ones within the village. I suppose I must have spent a great deal of the day inside.

Yeah, sure. I'm better with the bigger ones, like arms or legs or ribs. But the stronger ones definitely could.

Would a broken wrist be possible? [She shifts her arm a bit, and takes in a short, quick breath.] ...and perhaps a few fingers as well.

There are a few healers in the village who have responded, yes. Though so far I am not certain whether or not the bones can be healed so quickly...

In this place? Any doctor worth their shit can set and heal it quickly with magic.

I am glad to hear it. It would be rather inconvenient to be without the use of my right hand while it heals.

...or rather, very inconvenient. It takes two hands to tie my blindfold on. And there is still the matter of cleaning up...
