Old Post for reference.

Since Cheyenne is an original character, the only one who knows a lot about her is me. And since her app is full of much tl;dr, I've summarized some key things to know in a handy little list!

About Cheyenne
Cheyenne is an illusionist. Because she is missing most of her own soul, she needs to feed off of other souls to stay alive. However, while Cheyenne's powers may be evil, she isn't. She won't feed on people without their permission. Unlike other illusionists, Cheyenne is capable of (very limited) emotions and she'd feel guilty for doing so. Unless she is deprived of food for too long and loses her sanity, that is.

tl;dr about souls
In this case, the soul is more like a physical thing that makes up who a person is, which can be drawn out in the form of a silvery glowy string. Illusionists categorize the soul into four parts:

Length: A person's will to live. The more someone is willing to fight to live, the longer it will appear when drawn out.
Strength: Defined by a person's personality. If a person is strong-willed, they'll have a stronger soul that's harder to break apart and feed on.
Potency: The emotions a person feels, including feelings like love and hope. This part is delicious.
Power: A person's natural stamina and energy. Comparable to an HP bar in RPGs, it replenishes itself with sleep and food.

Illusionists usually feed on people by forcing them to experience an extreme emotion: fear. This causes the Potency of a soul to become more apparent and she can draw it out from the rest of their soul. That's why her default illusion is always a person's greatest fear. If this happens and she feeds for longer than a few moments, the person may be without emotions for up to a week. If she were to take more than 50% of their soul's potency, the effects would be permanent unless Cheyenne were killed, allowing the person's soul to return to them. These kinds of illusions are usually accidental or used for self-defense.

Since Cheyenne is a good little illusionist, she's figured out a way to feed on a person's Power instead. This will just make the other person feel tired or sleepy, and she can create a happy or peaceful illusion without needing to upset the other person. These kinds of illusions must be done intentionally.

In regards to her powers and (accidental) illusions:
1. If you accidentally look into her eyes, your character will immediately see an illusion of whatever it is they fear the most.
2. It is possible for a character to not be afraid of anything assuming they are badass, in which case, everything will just fade to white.
3. Cheyenne can't see the illusion she makes, since it'll all be in your character's mind.
4. Breaking eye contact breaks the illusion, but doing this by yourself is very difficult if you've never done it before. A third person would have to intervene.
5. If you see her eyes through something, such as sunglasses, a tinted window, etc. you will not be affected by her powers due to the powercap, so you'll be able to see her eyes. Her eyes look like the inside of a mussel shell with no pupil or sclera.
6. For witnesses, the victim will basically be freaking out/crying/screaming while a strange silver thread is pulled out of their chest. This is how she eats people's souls. Yum. B)
7. Feeding twice a week will keep her happy, but once a month will keep her alive. There's no guarentee that she'll be able to stay sane, however, only eating just enough to get by.
8. Cheyenne's eyes can trap more than one person at once. However, they won't both necessarily see the same illusion.
9. Aside from her powers, Cheyenne is fairly weak and unable to fight.

In regards to interactions:
1. She sees people as shades of light/colors based on their soul, with or without the blindfold. If your character has no soul, she'll see them as an inanimate object.
2. Inanimate objects and creatures without souls appear in faint grayscale. She can still see these with the blindfold on, but not as clearly. She'll also have a lot of trouble telling people like this apart from each other.
3. Because she's technically a cursed being, touching her will give you a horrible chill and fill your mind with negative emotions and thoughts. Hugs: not a good idea. :|b This effect grows weaker the closer she feels towards a person.
4. She can't see the text on the page well enough to read, so any written entries and comments will be ignored.
5. She will lineface :| at you always and forever. Her own emotions are often very muted, and she has trouble understanding the emotions of people around her.

--

With that out of the way, here's a the stuff I'd like you to fill out, if you don't mind!

1. Character name:
2. Does your character have a soul? I use the word "soul" because it's part of Cheyenne's history and fits the best, but really, almost anything that is alive and has a consciousness would have a soul in regards to Cheyenne's powers! The only cases where a character wouldn't have a soul:
+They are canonly stated to not have a soul for whatever reason.
+They are 100% robotic/man-made.
I am open to making exceptions for those of you who believe your character should still have a soul, or have a good reason for why they would not!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?:
4. What is their greatest fear? IMPORTANT: This part is optional. You are free to either keep it a secret (in which case, the illusion itself is hand-waived and only their reaction is played out) or leave it blank so you can describe it yourself in interactions. It can be something physical (monster, villains, spiders) or something emotional (death, losing a loved one, being alone).
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: For instance, if your character is actually two people, she would feel the presence of two souls. If your character is a God, they will have a very delicious powerful-looking soul.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Since the soul does make up a person, certain things can be seen right away. Their soul will look very short if that person has no sense of self-preservation. If a person is feeling an intense emotion, they'll appear brighter than usual. People who are very strong will be in bolder colors, and people who are very weak will appear more neutral. She won't go around sharing what another person's soul looks like, but she may bring it up with your character.

ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING. Since souls aren't the kind of thing you can just sell in a bottle for eating if there is a canon with that, I would be so amazed, Cheyene will need to find volunteers willing to be fed upon. Keep in mind, these would be the peaceful illusions that cause no harm to a person, not the scary lose-your-emotions illusions! If you have a character who might be open to this, please let me know! If you aren't sure, Cheyenne will be making a post asking ICly at some point as well.

I'ma do all my characters at once. DEAL WITH IT.

Character name: Sokka, Kurt Wagner, Ganondorf, Ling Yao, Arthur Pendragon
Does your character have a soul? They are all normal. Ganondorf might appear 'damaged'.
What is their greatest fear? idk, we can figure out this later
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Ling has a vial containing a Philosopher's Stone that he keeps on him all the time. It's basically a mass of wailing souls, devoid of their old identity, now in energy form.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure, but none of them are exceptional. Ganondorf has the power of the gods running through him, so he'll probably come off as pretty powerful.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Prooobably not. Ling wouldn't even let her feed off the souls in the Philosopher's Stone.

Character name: Leonhardt
Does your character have a soul? Sure does.
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
What is their greatest fear? Losing people he cares about again.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Not sure what you are asking here, but I can say that one unusual thing is that his soul's length will be very short and the power will be far more than a human's would be (not kidding, he can survive things that a normal human would die from). She likely will find out he's not completely human that way.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure, just let me know if you have any other questions, he's got a tl;dr app as well.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Doubtful, though let's handle that IC, he may well be willing depending on how she handles it, especially since his stamina is so amazing, it may not even cause him any problems.

Character name: Yeager
Does your character have a soul? Yes
What is their greatest fear? Having his two teenaged daughters tortured and/or killed.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: I don't know whether this would affect the way she perceives him, but he has technically died before and was brought back to life with an artificial heart that runs on his universe's particular form of magic.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yes. He is a very calm, confident kind of person and has a pretty strong sense of self-preservation, if that helps.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Maybe if he gets to know her? He'd have to be sure there's no lingering negative effects.

Character name: Lindsay Ballard
Does your character have a soul? Yep!
What is their greatest fear? Something Very Bad happening to any of the Otherworlders, especially her older sister.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She always has her cat, Thylos with her, but... I'm not sure how he'd read. He's actually a part of her so I'm not sure if he'd show up 100% identical to her soul, or if he'd just show up as an inanimate object. I think it'd probably be the former, but I'll leave that call up to you.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure! She's got some pretty powerful abilities from Otherworld, but they're currently cut off to her, so she doesn't realize she still has them. Not sure what all registers, but she is struggling with some PTSD from when bad stuff happened in Otherworld and Luceti has not been helping.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Prooooooobably not. I get the feeling the mere idea of that kind of thing would probably freak Lindsay out.

Character name: Noelle
Does your character have a soul? Also yep!
What is their greatest fear? ... how about I get back to you on this one. :|a
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Not really, she's fairly mundane. |D
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure! There's probably not too much to learn here - she's fairly pleasant and easygoing, not too physically powerful on her own.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? I think she'd be a little more open to it than Lindsay, especially since Cheyenne is on friendly terms with Luke. It would still need IC discussion and buildup, though.

[personal profile] kineticcajun 2012-01-05 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Character name: Remy LeBeau (Gambit)
Does your character have a soul? Yes
What is their greatest fear? ...I will have to get back to you on this one.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Mutant powers, I guess? I'm not sure if it would show up on his soul, but his body is charged with a ton of energy. I know it creates a kind of static for psychics canonically, but not sure if that would apply here?
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure thing! Gambit has a strong survival instinct, is a great fighter, and is a touch too overconfident. Despite shady background, he's a good soul deep down.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? He would definitely not. ;;

Character name: Noa
Does your character have a soul? Sure does!
What is their greatest fear? Being alone.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She has a Ra-Seru attached to her, which is basically a symbiotic magical creature with a separate soul of its own. Its name is Terra. If Cheyenne sees Noa's soul, she's bound to see Terra's as well... and even though Terra is just big enough to cover Noa's arm physically, her soul in canon is human-sized and -shaped.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure! She's overflowing with optimism and cheeriness, brave as anything, but very, very innocent. Terra, for her part, is a touch reckless, but very motherly and loving.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? It would probably scare her quite a bit at first, but once she found out the reasons behind it, she would allow it.

Character name: Kouki Wakahisa, Kasuka Heiwajima, Roy
Does your character have a soul? Yes, yes, yes
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
What is their greatest fear? In general, losing their loved ones (all), failure (Kouki), not being able to help their loved ones. We can go into specifics if it comes up.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Kasuka and Roy are normal humans, even if Kasuka's emotions are very subdued.

Kouki, on the other hand, is a full demon from being the King of Bel. Not only that, but his soul should also feel very old because he's the [DEVIL SURVIVORS SPOILERS]reincarnation of Abel the shepherd from the Bible[/END SPOILERS].
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul?
Kasuka have pretty subdued emotions, but they're still there. Just...very subdued.

Roy still have some envy issues over Frey, but he's pretty loyal and keep to his words.

Kouki is a demon king with an interesting soul (as mentioned in the above) with great magical power on a god-like level before the Luceti's power cap.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly?
Yes on all of them, though Kouki and Roy would be somewhat reluctant. Roy would do it if she really needs it, Kouki would be worry about how his soul affect her but will do it.

Kasuka would just allow her. :|

Welcome back :) Cheyenne is a really cool character! C&Ping from my last one.

Character name: Link
Does your character have a soul? Yup
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
What is their greatest fear? Abandonment - being left without anyone to rely on or to look after him. Being responsible for or unable to stop his friends suffering. (Specifically - he might remember Sheik being killed by Nu, which he still blames himself for.)
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He has the Triforce of Courage, which is implied to have parts of the powers of a goddess. It... hasn't really been described properly in canon, but my headcanon says that it basically gives him endless determination and that he'd never really give up, so that may affect how she sees his soul?
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Go for it!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? ...Let's say yes, but only after she's explained that it won't hurt him.

1. Character name: Vash
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes he does!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
4. What is their greatest fear? Being forced to kill again and never seeing Noah again. Wolfwood and Milly's kid.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Well, it's not an extra soul and he's not excatly a god, but Vash isn't human. He's a plant, but he has a crazy strong power inside of him. Not sure if she'd be able to see that or not. He's also 133 years old now?
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Go for it. Vash's soul should be strong willed as his ideas are iron-clad to him, but he does have a LITTLE trouble with the self-preservation thing. Not that he wants to die, far from it, he's just the typical hero who will throw himself into danger for others. Although currently he's feeling a lot of stress and fear as an enemy from his show just showed up.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Already done! XD

1) Derek Bliss, Foot the cat, Arianthe
2)) Yep, all three have souls, and Foot is actually a protective spirit in a cat body.
3) N/A
4) Derek: Failing to come through on his hunts (which would translate as failing to protect people in Luceti while here)
Foot: Being left alone with no hope of ever getting out of it
Arianthe: Losing the rest of her war torn home to fire and destruction
5) Derek: Is a normal uninfected human this time around, but he is extremely strong willed and definitely willing to put up a fight
Foot: Guardian spirit in a cat body; mythos would put her somewhere on the level of a low powered demi-god or angel type.
Arianthe: Her thought processess wotk ever so slightly different than most humanoid types. She's also intimately bound to her feline partner Elder. Damaging the bound cna damage either or both of them.
6) Sure for all; just PM me first
7) Derek: If he understood the process first, he might. (He would be understandably freaked out by the vampire-like similarity at first, though)
Foot: Sure
Arianthe: Honestly? I'm not sure. Think it would depend on how she was approached.

What is their greatest fear? Being rendered powerless, or overpowered by a malevolent entity.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Mewtwo could be considered god-like, depending on how you read "Legendary". He does have the Pressure ability, like most Legendaries, which in an in-universe sense seems to mean that his presence is naturally intimidating and deters other Pokemon from attacking him.

What is their greatest fear? This is the tricky one... because while he certainly has fears, what would be greatest is always shifting. I'm not sure there is an greatest actually. My best guess that he'd either white noise it, or the illusion would just cause terror and be utterly impossible to define and determine what just it is.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He's a Devil Fruit user, so he has a dark or cursed taint to him.

What is their greatest fear? Whoooooooo boy, probably that memory of the day he had to kill his dad when he was a kid.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?:
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? He has way more inner strength and temperance then he would outwardly let on. Or he even realizes. Because all of his problems are just his (mostly subconcious) mind's way of protecting itself. Including his amnesia, the way he spaces out all the time, the way he's practically mute, being mentally stuck as a kid, are all means of distancing himself from that trauma and anything that's related to it by even the tiniest margin. After all it's impossible to have bad memories triggered if there's nothing to trigger it. ALSO there is that crazy beat spirit who he lives with and controls on a daily basis :|
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? N-no.... if only because he just.... wouldn't understand it. Though he would try to give her people food if he knew she was hungry. :||||

What is their greatest fear? Herself. CHEESY, I KNOW, but she fears herself for what she is. Her origins. Her purpose. How if she loses it again, she has the potential to kill all those dear to her.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She is a clone, so her soul will be younger than others. There's also the fact that in-game, she's inherited this little nifty thing called the Azure, which in her world is this ultimate power sorta thing and different people pursued her for different reasons because of it. Her presence is described as "warm and beautiful" at one point due to her possession of it, so I guess that could be in conjunction with her soul. There's been other oddities noted in-canon, like how her presence felt like "the air," or that she had no killing intent when fighting someone... but uh, that could be said for a lot of people when fighting, SO. Yeah. okay done tl;dring.

Does your character have a soul? Yes.
What is their greatest fear? Losing his brother in just about any way possible.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Nope.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure! He has a strong will to live despite acknowledging that he'll probably die young. He is a strong-willed person... when he feels like it. It depends on the situation. Similarly, he isn't a very emotional person in general, except for under certain (rare) circumstances. Physically, he is on the weaker side.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Nope, not willingly. :'|

Character name: Elliot Nightray ([personal profile] holyknights)
Does your character have a soul? Yes.
What is their greatest fear? Elliot Nightray is pretty much a badass doesn't have any particularly strong fears, but he has recurring nightmares that are constant source of frustration for him, and that's probably what he'd see. It mostly involves burning buildings, blood everywhere, and lots of dead people. These nightmares creep him out, and he's afraid of what they might mean.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Elliot is the contractor of a Chain. Chains are beings from the Abyss (often likened to hell) that were once human, but were transformed into monsters after being pulled in. Since he's a contractor, I figure she might notice that his soul is tied to something else. At his current canon point, he isn't aware of the fact that he's a contractor, but Cheyenne is welcome to point out that something is different about him.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure. Elliot has the desire to live, but he is willing to put himself in danger to protect someone else, so he probably lacks a proper sense of self-preservation. He is a very strong-willed person. He's a very emotional person as well... even if he just seems angry most of the time. Physically, he's pretty strong for a normal person.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Not normally, but under more dire circumstances, he'd be more willing.

Does your character have a soul? Yes.
What is their greatest fear? Losing or being unable to protect his friends, or failing to save the universe.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Nope.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure. Like Elliot, he has the desire to live but is willing to put himself in danger for others. He is a strong-willed person, pretty normal when it comes to emotions, and is also physically strong. (He's one of the strongest characters in SO2, so he's probably stronger than... some of the stronger people around).
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Definitely. He wouldn't even think twice about it once he knows about her situation.

Character name: Erika Karisawa ([personal profile] fujoshiqueen)
Does your character have a soul? Yes.
What is their greatest fear? Something bad happening to her friends.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Nope.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure. In general, Erika is a pretty pleasant person. She's pretty average emotionally, though she does have her excited outbursts and her more serious moments. She's a normal person with no special abilities, but she takes care of herself, so her stamina could be described as average, too. She's strong-willed and driven when she has a purpose, but otherwise, she's a whimsical kind of person.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Absolutely. Just because it's cool. :|

1. Character name: Nami (this journal)
2. Does your character have a soul? Yup!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
4. What is their greatest fear? Losing her crew.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Uhh, not really? Though she's incredibly strong-willed/has a strong will to live - the girl's an emotional mountain, so her soul will possibly be hard to nom on but tasty?
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? It would probably freak her out, soooo unless she actually comes to have a close relationship wtih Cheyenne, probably not. More willing because of Sanji's previous dealings with her. o/ She probably wouldn't volunteer, but she'd be willing to help out if needed.

1. Character name: Katie McCoy | [profile] flicker_flash
2. Does your character have a soul? Yes! Two of them!
3. If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)?
4. What is their greatest fear? The dauntain (agents of banality in her world that destroy changelings where they find them). Cold iron. ...dauntain bearing cold iron, as they often do.
5. Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She has two souls; one is a human child's, one is an extremely colourful, magical and old soul overlaid over the first and sort of ...mingling together with it. I imagine the magical soul might...taste interesting. I don't know.
6. Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Certainly!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? It depends on how it's explained to her, but Katie'd probably be willing. o/

Character name: Grune
Does your character have a soul? Yes
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? -
What is their greatest fear? Er, nothing, really. She honestly never expects bad things to happen, ever. When she has her memories back, however, because she's in a constant war to prevent worlds all over the universe from being unmade, she would fear losing her current battleground, Melfes (AKA Legendia-world).
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Grune is a goddess as old as sentient life, even if she's currently not aware of it due to her amnesia. She's also only technically half of a person (the "light" half)--her "dark" half exists in another body. She would have a weird-ass soul. XD;
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure! Just hit me up for whatever you want her to learn. But I'd prefer if it didn't get spread around, since I've got a player plot based on her identity that I'm putting together right now.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Without her memories, yes, because Grune is ridiculously generous, but if her close friends found out, I think they'd put a stop to that pretty quick! ACTUALLY on second thought, she would intend to say yes, but I think one of her defence mechanisms would kick in and have her say no instead. Occasionally, in extreme situations, she'll get a piece of her memory back and react accordingly (it's only happened once in the year plus she's been in Luceti), and I think soul-eating would be one of those cases. Sorry about that!

With them, no--she needs all the strength she can get. Sorry, Cheyenne. :(

Does your character have a soul? Yes.
What is their greatest fear? Being helpless to save loved ones. Or anyone, really, though it wouldn't trigger him quite as hard.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Nope.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yep, go right on ahead.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Unless he ends up becoming close with her, he definitely wouldn't.

Character name: Saber | [personal profile] germanicus
Does your character have a soul? Yes.
What is their greatest fear? To remain unloved by everyone around her.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She is something known as a Heroic Spirit, which is the soul of someone who either was a hero to others, or allowed for heroic accomplishments to occur because of their influence. This Saber is actually [SPOILERS Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, the 5th emperor of Rome]. Her soul would likely show up as more ... charged, I guess, compared to the average human.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yep, that's fine!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Deeeefinitely not, unless she came to really like Cheyenne.

Character name: Tyria | [personal profile] cluster
Does your character have a soul? ... Good question. Because she's man-made, I'm going to say "no".
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? ... Both. The easiest way to put it is that she's a homunculus with some mechanical/computer parts inside of her. She's at least organic enough that she's able to have children.
What is their greatest fear? Watching a loved one die in front of her while she remains helpless to do anything about it.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Aside from the whole "man-made creation" bit, not really.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? N/A
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? N/A

Character name: Willock
Does your character have a soul? Yes
What is their greatest fear? Being rejected by others on a personal or professional level.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Nope. He's just a human being--no special powers.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yep. He's one of those strong-willed workaholic types and a lot more emotional inwardly that he lets show. He also has panic disorder, which he generally tries to conceal.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? He is a doctor and very driven to help people, so maybe? He does tend to be skeptical about magic and spiritual things, though, so he'll definitely be wary about the idea.

Does your character have a soul? A nice light pink thing.
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
What is their greatest fear? Absolute isolation and rejection of everyone she ever cared for.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She is an emotional time-bomb waiting to happen, though Cheyenne probably already knows that from her last stay. Also, she is essentially watched over by a half-dead patron deity of her people therefore Cheyenne may or may not feel free to notice that her soul seems like its protected or agitated because of her current curse.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yup, just PM me for it!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Most likely never due to the value Auria culture places on souls. Sorry for missing out on the emotional buffet, Cheyenne. :|a

Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Aside from being a Seventh Fonist if that counts. :|a

Does your character have a soul? Amazingly.
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A.
What is their greatest fear? To watch all his friends lose themselves and forced to watch them be killed, and to lose himself to his curse.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He is a Blade Child who may or may not become an avatar of his father's will, thus when the switch is triggered he won't be himself anymore. While he can't emote properly nor does he try to, he is in reality very hopeful and idealistic.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Go ahead, just PM me.

Character name: Homura ([personal profile] screwthegods)
Does your character have a soul? Yes!
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
What is their greatest fear? Powerlessness and loss of will. The inability to alter his fate from what someone else has determined it will be.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He's a walking buffet? Homura is half god, half human. In his world, this is extremely rare, and makes him a heretical being--one deemed unclean by the Heavens, and whose life was made miserable as a result. The gods wanted nothing more than for him to die, but Homura eventually decided they were a bunch of dicks, and he'd do whatever it took to live. So in that sense, his soul should be very long. However, that eventually changed into the determination to live as he pleased. Since he's dead in canon, and compares the Malnosso to the gods of his world, that basically means he's looking for a way out of Luceti. So Homura knows he's essentially looking for a way to die for himself, but on his own terms--and he's dead-set on living until then. How this contradiction affects the length of his soul is up to you?

But, yeah. Homura is extremely willful; in canon, he literally fights against his own body dying of old age to die in battle. As in, mid-fight, he's grasping his chest and cringing. As mentioned, he's a demi-god, so he's very strong. And he tends to be passionate about what he believes: one of those who isn't easily convinced he's wrong, and who utterly commits himself to his chosen purpose and philosophy.

Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Feel free!

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If he got to know her and liked her, then absolutely! Which means I should probably tag her at some point.

Character name: Amelia ([personal profile] thedicearecast)
Does your character have a soul? Yes.
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
What is their greatest fear? Being the cause of suffering, and being unable to stop the suffering of her loved ones.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Not so much. Amelia's a pretty normal human.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Go right ahead!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Probably not. Amelia doesn't let people touch her willingly. The idea of someone sucking on her soul would freak her out.

Character name: Martel Yggdrasill.

Does your character have a soul? Yes, and also wears a High-Exsphere (Cruxis Crystal), which is basically a soul gem. Your call on whether or not Cheyenne sees it as Martel carrying a second, differently-colored soul.

What is their greatest fear? The death of her little brother Mithos ([personal profile] imatreenow).

Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Aside from the Exsphere detail above, no.

Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Of course! PM for any info needed. To speed-cover the basics you outlined, Length is extremely short, Strength is above average but nothing exceptional, Potency goes through the roof (precisely on hope and love) and Power is surprisingly low even when fully rested.

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If Cheyenne's survival depended on it and Martel was aware of it, yes, without hesitation.

Character name: Robert Hastings
Does your character have a soul? nope.avi. Cheyenne will probably remember this about him from the last time, actually - it's probably the most prominent thing about him.
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? Yes he is! A completely ordinary homo sapiens sapiens. \o/
What is their greatest fear? Not really applicable... though if he ever gets a soul somehow? Losing Helios or Don, losing his knowledge/grasp on things, being alone... those're just a few of the more intense ones.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He has no soul...? I guess that's relatively special. Being paranormal-free in general will be difficult for her to tell at a glance, I guess, but that alone will be interesting to her. He has a bunch of other tics but she won't really be able to see any of them unless she gets optical vision again at some point.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? If there is ever a time where Robert gets a soul somehow? I am all for this.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? ... Assuming he could? Yes, if she were to explain its harmlessness to him. Unfortunately, though, in 99% of cases this won't be applicable.

Character name: Kazooie the Breegull
Does your character have a soul? Yes she does! A very odd-looking soul, but a soul.
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? She is... debatably organic. I assume her soul will be as "rasterized" as the rest of her and... as cartoony-looking as possible for a soul to be.
What is their greatest fear? KAZOOIE FEARS NOTHING. ... Uh. I do think she has some abstract fears, she just doesn't let on about them most of the time. Losing or failing is a major one; not being strong enough, or being ignored, are other fears.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: She is a cartoon - a three-dimensional living cartoon - and as such her soul might be very erratic-looking even by soul standards. All the parts of her soul are probably pretty powerful - even her power, because she's a cartoon and has difficulty dying or anything - but they probably seem strange to Cheyenne. If it's possible for Cheyenne to notice these things right away, she may be able to tell at a glance that Kazooie isn't human.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Of course! Kazooie might be a bit weirded out by that, though. But that just makes it better. 8D
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? ... Hmm. Assuming Kazooie didn't immediately peg Cheyenne as a bad guy due to eating peoples' souls in the first place, and if she felt she could get something out of it... probably. She is a hero, and a few of her missions from B-K involve getting food for other people (like the Unga Bungas). It would definitely weird her out a bit, though.

For Shiki!
Character name: Shiki Tohno
Does your character have a soul? He does, but it's more or less damaged.
What is their greatest fear? Becoming a bloodthirsty murderer.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: In his timeline he basically ended up with his soul being turned to that of a vampire (Specifically, a Dead Apostle.) He's fully human again now, but Cheyene might notice that he was a half-vampire at one point.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Feel free to! He's generally a nice guy, but he has subconscious that makes him willing to kill anything that threaten his life.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Most likely yes! He might experience stronger side-effects though, considering he only has half a human's life force.

For Hakkai!
Character name: Cho Hakkai
Does your character have a soul? Yep!
What is their greatest fear? Hopelessness, lack of free will, and being alone.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: There's nothing of note outside his application, but she's free to discover things.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yes! Kind demeanor aside, his soul will appear to be very strong, but slightly melancholic as well.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Probably not, but he might be forced to as a last resort.

I forgot to do this! I'll add the others if it comes up, but for now:

Character name: Edward Elric
Does your character have a soul? Very much so.
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A, but in regards to mechanical, he does have two metal limbs, his right arm and left leg (god that image is outdated now...). Not sure how this affects her view of him.
What is their greatest fear? Losing his family.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: We already discussed this, but for added reference- when Edward's brother is in the suit of armor, Edward is linked to him via the soul, and Alphonse's body is connected to him, so he's already "feeding" it though his soul. However, when Al is human, this connection is gone (or at least negligible, canon is nonspecific about that) so he seems normal. I'll make a note of Al's condition if it's necessary to know at the time.

Al aside, Ed's soul on its own is one bright little bastard- he feels emotions rather intensely ALL THE TIME (or okay, just mostly) so he's probably tasty, but he has one hell of a will to live so it might be hard to draw out. If I'm reading everything right. He's also used fragments of his soul to heal himself a couple of times so his lifespan has been shortened by several years. Not sure if that would show, but it's worth a mention. TL;DR HIS SOUL IS WEIRD.

Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Oh yes. Hope she enjoys childhood trauma.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Yes, but it's conditional to his connection to Al, as mentioned above.

Character name: Aang
Does your character have a soul? Yep!
What is their greatest fear? Probably the death of his loved ones, probably now with a side of never going home (thus people like Ikki wouldn't exist anymore)
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He's the Avatar. ...But yes really, his soul is bonded with a light spirit named Raava. (There's also the connection to the past Avatar spirits, but that connection isn't intact in Luceti.)
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? That's perfectly fine!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If Aang sees that it would help her, yep.

Character name: Rock Lee
Does your character have a soul? The most youthful one!!
What is their greatest fear? Letting everyone down
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Not really, unless you could the rules of shounen meaning he probably has a ridiculous length.

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Oh definitely! He's a glutton for punishment that helps others.

Character name: Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler
Does your character have a soul? In this continuity, yes.
What is their greatest fear? Being abandoned
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Not really? He is technically half-demon but I don't think that would have a direct effect on his soul.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? It would probably depend, but he could be convinced to!

Character name: Jade Curtiss
Does your character have a soul? It's debatable.
What is their greatest fear? Dist in underwear That's a toughie. The Nebilim replica maybe could qualify.

Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Only under extreme circumstances.

Character name: Myto
Does your character have a soul? Yes! Well depending on whether or not you directly associate his 'heart' with his soul, then it might not be a complete one just yet.
What is their greatest fear? The ravens
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Probably about his heart being fractured and also the two forces within his body - the prince and the prince of crows.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Sure!
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? If asked to, yes. His raven self might be less agreeable though.

Character name: Wreck-It Ralph
Does your character have a soul? That's deep, man. ...Yes, a silicon soul.
What is their greatest fear? Vanellope getting unplugged.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: He's a video game?

Character name: Perona
Does your character have a soul? Yes
If no, are they still organic (not mechanical)? N/A
What is their greatest fear? Drowning and/or being submerged in deep water over her head. She's also extremely terrified of being alone for lengthy periods of time. Oh, and bugs, specifically cockroaches. She had a bad experience with them in canon and her phobia grew tenfold.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: Well, considering Perona's powers deal specifically with souls and spirits, Cheyenne may actually be able to feel a piece of Perona's soul from any of her Negative Hollows floating around, considering they are all extensions of her soul itself. I seriously don't endorse actually taking a bite of them, since they'll probably be as filling as a fleck of salt, and they actually do the same thing as touching Cheyenne does - fills one with intense negative emotions and saps their happiness entirely. But yeah, if Cheyenne ever gets a clear reading one Perona's specific soul signature, she might clue in that a teensy part of her is floating around as a ghost sometimes. It'll be very, very faint though.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Possibly. I'll have to hit you up on plurk for that.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Not at first, but over time she might, if they become closer friends.

Character name: Lightning
Does your character have a soul? Yes.
What is their greatest fear? Her friends/family being hurt and/or, more specifically, utterly failing at her task of getting everyone to the New World with her preferences in place.
Is there something special about your character Cheyenne should know?: ... She is essentially a death/reincarnation goddess, and as a result her length/strength/potency/power would probably be off the flippin' charts. Canonically her soul is painfully pink in contrast to everyone else being white/blue, and... it's possible other souls may be sort of drawn to her? Her goal as the "savior" is to gather up others' souls so they can eventually pass onto the New World, though I don't know if that would extend to this sort of thing.
Is it okay for Cheyenne to learn things about your character based on their soul? Yes.
Would your character allow Cheyenne to feed on them willingly? Probably not, for a variety of reasons, but you never know.
