[There's a rather strange new feather walking around town right now. For one, she seems to have torn off a strip of cloth from around her new-feather dress to blindfold herself, for whatever reason. Despite that, she seems to be getting around just fine...]

[But that's not all! Even if she weren't wearing the blindfold, she's not even trying to watch where she's going. She's too busy leafing through the journal in her hands, occassionally shaking it as though she expects the voices inside to just fall out. And those of you paying attention over the networks have likely noticed that she is holding it upside down as well.]

[In a moment, she stops walking and lets out a very small sigh before stating the obvious to whomever is listening.] I am no longer in the Stendrion Desert, am I.

[There's a short pause.] ...to be honest, I had already figured this to be the case, seeing as I have wound up here.

So Cheyenne-chan is an element of danger, too. [he sounds curious, nothing more]

[After taking only a second to consider something, she stops walking.] Sanji, am I correct in assuming that you would not know what I mean when I say I am an illusionist?

[He does mull over the word carefully, just in case. He stops walking with her]

This would be the first time I've heard that term used.

Then, suppose I were to say that I am a monster. Would you be inclined to believe me?

Depends on your definition of a monster. And their motivations.

I've met people the entire world hates, monsters in their own right, and they're some of the best friends I have.

[Not the reaction she was expecting.] ...you mean you aren't afraid?

You'd have to give me a good reason to be afraid first. Calling yourself a monster...

Maaah, I've been called a monster on occasion. Same as my crew. [So that's not gonna cut it]

[She's going to double-take a little there and glance over at Sanji. He looks rather powerful, yes, but to be called a monster...?] Perhaps that word has a far broader definition than I have been led to believe... you do not seem like a monster at all.

And a lot of people would agree with you.

But I've got the potential, you could say. Quite a few of us stuck here do.

Illusionists are monsters that feed on the souls of living creatures. And that is what I am.

[... Admittedly, that's a weighty accusation against oneself]

[But after the brief pause, he just gets down to business]

Living creatures... do animals count? Since feeding off the villagers might not go over so well.

[He pauses again, one of his hands wandering into his breast pocket] Do you have to take the soul in one go? Are there alternatives?

[Animals. She has to pause and think about that, glancing up at the sky.] ...no. The soul of an animal would be far too weak and the creature's life would likely be in danger. Furthermore, attaining consent from an animal would be impossible, as far as I am aware.

[She looks back at Sanji, amazed that he's still talking to her.] I suppose my definition was rather curt. Although I must feed on what most humans consider to be their soul, doing so has no permanent repercussions on them... [A pause.] ...so long I am in-control of my powers at the time.

[fff oh is that all. He loosens up immediately]

Aaah, so Cheyenne-chan just needs volunteers! [He'll hit up that "in-control" part in a moment]

I cannot imagine anyone would merely offer themselves up in an effort to keep a monster alive. [A frown.] In my own world, I was often forced to strike deals with humans in order to feed. Although, they were not the sort of deals where I had the option of giving them much choice...

You'll find this place is a lot different from your world. Some of the people here will help just because they can.

No permanent repercussions, right? [finally pulls one of his cigarettes free and sticks it in his mouth, unlit for now] Then I'd be happy to assist you~!

It's not that far off from what I usually do.

[What's this feeling supposed to look like again? Oh, yes.]

[You can almost see the sparkles.]

[That is by far the strangest thing she's done to date, when Sanji has already pegged her for the subdued type. Further observation and revision is needed]

Think nothing of it, my little princess~! Your willing knight will forever be at your beck and call~!

[Oh wait, before he gets ahead of himself]

Though I should warn you - I'll have to tell my crew about this, first. They won't hold anything against you. [But while Sanji trusts her, he's not stupid enough to think the crew will immediately follow suit without good reason to do so. They know their chef is a special boy]

Your crew? That should not be a problem. It's not as though I am keeping myself a secret. So long as the end result is not being chased out of town with pitchforks and torches, do what you feel is right.

[As she will soon find out, Sanji's a banquet of over-the-top reactions. He'd probably die if he had to hide them all.]

I suppose that may be over the top. The humans in my world have powers that would make the use of pitchforks more of an inconvenience, really. I believe the preferred method is simply a great deal of fire...

Ah, perhaps I should clarify something. Although I am quite peaceful and never feed more than necessary, I cannot say the same for my sisters. It only takes one to wipe a town clean.

I am rather unique in terms of illusionists.
