[Cheyenne is lost. The whole village still looks weird and there are things all over the ground in the most inconvenient places. And although she feels quite indifferent about her costume for the most part, those high-heels have done nothing but gotten in her way with every step she takes. Literally, as a matter of fact. She was just on her way out when she stumbled on her feet, tripped on a pumpkin, and slammed into a wall. No real harm done, save for her bruised pride. Unfortunately, this habit of tripping is beginning to become more than just an occasional blunder: she's tripped at least 12 times since leaving her apartment.]

[As it stands now, she was just on her way back to community house 6 when, after spending more time watching the ground than counting the buildings as she walked by, she found herself in a section of town she couldn't immediately recognize. She even took a chance and peeked her eyes over the edge of her new red blindfold to see if she could more readily recognize the area. But really, without a point of reference, it was no use.]

[She soon gives up and decides to sit on the edge of one of the small bridges around town, dangling her feet over the edge just above the river and probably wishing she could just kick those awful shoes right into the water.]

Unless it's something that completely changes their basic shape. And even then, she might assume that's how they look normally.]]

But what if I just wanted to be closer to you, Cheyenne-chan? [Complete with a little laugh on the end of it as he leans up against the rail of the bridge]

Regardless of your intentions, it still does not give off the impression that you trust me.

Not that I normally expect others to trust me, given what I am, but if you claim that I ought to trust you, shouldn't you do the same?

Interesting... [She tilts her head to the side and looks at him before looking back out over the water. She falls silent for a moment, and then:]

I still do not trust you.

Aaah! You shot me down even after that?! [And he grabs his heart, giving a mock-motion of having just been shot here. He even takes a step back]

[Cheyenne is indifferent to his suffering.]

You have yet to give me a valid reason why I might trust you, so I find that I cannot.

You could eat some of my soul if you want. [He said as he crouched down next to her] That won't kill me, right?

[illusional]

[That was unexpected, and it shows on her face.]

No, it would not harm you... is that a sincere offer?

[No. Maybe.] Yes.

[illusional]

[A pause. She's thinking something over.] ...if you allowed me to feed off of you, it would be more than enough to prove that you trust me.

[Honestly, he's still sweating bullets here. Because his self-preservation instinct- no. No. This girl is just a little girl. Just a little girl. There's nothing off here; this is just and offer. Stop. Panicking. He can't make the same mistake again]

[illusional]

If your offer is sincere, sit down and shut your eyes. Do not open them until I say so. [She glances at him, reaching up to until her blindfold.] ...I mean it. Under no circumstances may you look any sooner.

[He sits and shuts his eyes. But it's the keeping shut which is going to be a problem, really. He nervously thinks to peek even after he's just sat but... no. No. Fear won't stop him from helping a girl this time, right? After all, she said it wouldn't hurt? Yeah. Yeah.

...That doesn't stop him from putting his hands over his eyes to try to help with the keeping them shut]

[For awhile, all is silent. When she finally speaks up, her voice is soft.]

You may open your eyes.

[illusional]

[And what Kida will see when he eventually opens his eyes is...!]








[Oh hey, it's Cheyenne sitting on the bridge, blindfold still on, and not even looking at Kida.]

[This is definitely not an illusion.]

I changed my mind. I do not wish to feed right now. [She turns and glances over at him.] While I usually have no qualms over feeding on those who so willingly offer their souls, I would rather not feed from you at this moment.

My apologies for the inconvenience.

I am afraid must still decline your offer. But my reasons are not the same as they once were, as I would simply rather not be pushed around in such a contraption.

However, that you would offer your soul to me in spite of your own inhibitions is enough for me to trust you. [Is that a smile? That's a smile.]
