[There's a rather strange new feather walking around town right now. For one, she seems to have torn off a strip of cloth from around her new-feather dress to blindfold herself, for whatever reason. Despite that, she seems to be getting around just fine...]

[But that's not all! Even if she weren't wearing the blindfold, she's not even trying to watch where she's going. She's too busy leafing through the journal in her hands, occassionally shaking it as though she expects the voices inside to just fall out. And those of you paying attention over the networks have likely noticed that she is holding it upside down as well.]

[In a moment, she stops walking and lets out a very small sigh before stating the obvious to whomever is listening.] I am no longer in the Stendrion Desert, am I.

Welcome, young Miss~! Though I'm afraid you're right about that. This place is called Luceti.

[The book replied to her. It had to have been replying to her; there is no one else around!]

Lu... ceti? I have never heard of such a city. [She'll be peering down more carefully at that page now. Still upside-down.] Am I correct in assuming you are not really inside of this book?

I love a lady so quick to catch on~! We use the books for communication... [...]

Ah, you've probably got the book upside down, Miss. [Not that he minds staring at your chin]

I take it, then, that you are capable of seeing me as well? [A pause.] ...and yet you continue to speak with me?

[Awww, she's shy! In a serious tone]

Aaaah, but you see, what type of a gentleman would ignore the presence of that which he strives to serve? When the sound of your voice is the sweetest lullaby created~!

[Sanji what are you even? She's never had someone talk to her like this before. You even managed to put a smile on her face!]

That is rather flattering to be said about a creature such as myself. Does this "Gentleman" have a name?

[And ooooh, okay, so she's obviously not -- well, technically speaking, a lot of them aren't human. How to go about this. His tone changes, a true somber reflection now]

Miss, this is gonna be hard for you to swallow, but this Luceti - it's in another world entirely. I've never heard of the Stendrion Desert, and I'm fairly sure you're not familiar with the Grand Line.

Because of that, I actually don't know what you are. [And he really doesn't care, either, but figures it's best she know, in case she wants to keep it secret]

Sanji, it is then. And I am called Cheyenne.

[As he goes on to explain, her expression doesn't change in the slightest.] Another world? How strange... I do not recall entering the Enchanted Forest upon my escape. As far as I know, that is the only way a creature is capable of travelling through worlds.

Suppose I choose to believe you. Is there a way out of this world?

It's an honor to meet you, Cheyenne-chan, circumstances aside.

[And... this makes it easier. Kinda.]

Right now? None that we're aware of. There's a barrier covering the space we live in - we've got a town, a desert, a large forest, some mountains, an expanse of plains... And no one can get through the barrier except for these shitheads conducting experiments on us.

There's more to it than that, I'm afraid, but there's the gist of this mess.

Experiments. [It's more a statement than a question. If this man doesn't know about Stendrion or Illusionists, then maybe it's unrelated to her?]

Hm. I see. I suppose I ought to adjust to these new surroundings, then. Is there anyplace where I could acquire more information in regards to this... Luceti?

That's right... [a slight pause] You're taking this pretty well.

But of course, if you don't like that option, I'd be happy to explain the finer details~!

There's no reason for me to take this any other way. It doesn't matter which world I live in, so long as I can continue to live.

Although... I am not certain how useful a guide would be, seeing as I am incapable of reading. If it is not too much trouble, I would very much appreciate an explanation.

Not a problem at all! [And with that, he turns to Raine's guide (http://wise-maiden.livejournal.com/24338.html#cutid1) to begin the explanation. Thankfully, some sections have brief audio parts, which he lets her listen to, filling in whatever information he deems necessary for her stay.]

[Cheyenne listens intently to his every word, only asking the occasional question for him to clarify one thing or another. When he's finished, she smiles again at him.] That was quite a lot to take in. Thank you for helping me.

I imagine now would be a good time to find myself a place to stay... or, perhaps, locate my clothes. I only hope this place does not continue to be of such an inconvenience... [Although that was probably just wishful thinking.]

If you need a guide, just say the word~! There's a clothing shop and apartments available. Like the guide said, don't worry about paying.

If it is not too much to ask, it would be rather helpful to have someone show me around the village. [Her hand trails up to the blindfold around her eyes.] I am afraid, with or without this blindfold, I cannot see well enough to distinguish the buildings from one another.

Yes, Cheyenne-chwaaaaan~!

Are you in town right now? Just give me a few minutes. [a good thing the village is small enough that he can probably find her on sight alone]

Yes, I am. I imagine it is safe to say I'll be the only one wearing a blindfold?

[She's not very hard to miss: bright blond curls and a white newfeather dress, sitting down in a patch of green grass.]

In Luceti? Probably. [She isn't hard to miss! And since she's a young lady, it means Sanji's even quicker to spot her as that's how he rolls.

He closes his journal and slides it under his arm before greeting her properly, a wide smile on his face - doesn't matter if she can't see it.]

Maaah, Cheyenne-chan's even cuter in person~!

[When she hears Sanji speak, Cheyenne recognizes his voice and gets to her feet, a thoughtful smile on her face.] I can't recall a time when another person has referred to me as "cute".

[Even though she is blindfolded, she's looking directly at him when she speaks.] I only hope I'll be able to find my own clothes... naturally, it's rather difficult for me to find things when I cannot see them clearly.

You must not have many gentlemen where you're from - you deserve every comment.

[Seriously, how could they not think her cute? ... Actually, the parts of his brain not dedicated to swooning are taking note of those words and her direct stare. It's not the slightest bit off, blindfold or not. He wonders if it's only because of his voice]

So you can kinda see them, then? [he turns, eying the stores around the fountain] There are four big buildings here. The one to your immediate right is the school. Next is the grocery. Then the clothing store, and last, the smithy and weapon's shop.

[The people from her world are understandably wary of pretty little things in blindfolds. She turns and looks at the stores as he names them off.] Yes. My way of seeing things is by sense, rather than sight. Although they appear similar, I should be able to memorize which building is which.

[There's a pause as she looks at the weapon's shop.] ...is there a danger here that requires the need for weapons?

Huh. Interesting. [Making a note of that before continuing, walking along, making sure she follows]

You could say that. Most weapons already have owners. They show up here with the New Feathers, waiting to be found.

But a friend of mine makes a bunch, too, for whoever wants to use them. Luceti's far from predictable. [He sounds grave and vaguely annoyed]

You mentioned the experiments before, but I suppose the residents themselves can add to the element of danger as well? [This wasn't exactly a wild guess. The fact that she was here at all was proof enough that not every resident had to be peaceful...]

[Well, peaceful all the time, at least.]

This shithole isn't known for being picky when it comes to residents. It'll take all kinds.
