[Cheyenne is lost. The whole village still looks weird and there are things all over the ground in the most inconvenient places. And although she feels quite indifferent about her costume for the most part, those high-heels have done nothing but gotten in her way with every step she takes. Literally, as a matter of fact. She was just on her way out when she stumbled on her feet, tripped on a pumpkin, and slammed into a wall. No real harm done, save for her bruised pride. Unfortunately, this habit of tripping is beginning to become more than just an occasional blunder: she's tripped at least 12 times since leaving her apartment.]

[As it stands now, she was just on her way back to community house 6 when, after spending more time watching the ground than counting the buildings as she walked by, she found herself in a section of town she couldn't immediately recognize. She even took a chance and peeked her eyes over the edge of her new red blindfold to see if she could more readily recognize the area. But really, without a point of reference, it was no use.]

[She soon gives up and decides to sit on the edge of one of the small bridges around town, dangling her feet over the edge just above the river and probably wishing she could just kick those awful shoes right into the water.]

[He saw that. His smile gets a bit more pronounced, and he lift a hand for a little wave as he turns to think he'll go raid the shops]

That's fine, Cheyenne-chan. Just wait here for me!!

[And Cheyenne just watches him go. It isn't her intention to wait for him, but she still isn't sure where in the village she is, so walking home isn't an option.]

[She probably should have asked... oh well. So, she sits and waits for him.]

[He doesn't return with a rickshaw. But he will be back in like... twenty minutes or so pushing a wheelbarrow in front of him. This is totally logical, okay? Is she still here?]

[A matter of fact, she is! Cheyenne can't see what it is Kida's pushing, but whatever it is, it has wheels and looks ridiculous. She doesn't even need to turn her head to know what he's planning on doing with it. And so, rather than a greeting, Kida just gets an answer.]

[He gaps dramatically, dropping hold on the wheelbarrow and takes a step backwards in shock...!] Why not?!

I told you before that I did not require assistance. I would feel...

[A pause. What word would work to describe this?]

...uncomfortable being a situation where I am not in control of my own movement.

But you can trust me, Cheyenne-chan~ I'll take you right home!

[Okay so this is shady but it's better than leaving her here, right?]

How do I know I can trust you?

Because, Cheyenna-chan~ You're already strong in my heart! [And he is, even if he's all full if guilt and shit does at least honestly want to help out every girl ever. ...If those things count for anything]

The fact that you touched me in the first place after I explicitly told you not to only paints you as an untrustworthy individual in my mind.

[Her next words, carefully chosen, are said without the slightest intonation.]

If you touch me again, I will push you off this bridge and into the river.

Eeeh... that's harsh, Cheyenne-chan. [Flatly, maybe even mock hurt]

Perhaps. But if it the only way I can prevent you from doing so, so be it.

Oh! So you do care! All the more reason to trust me~!

[illusional]

Care? [She frowns.] I suppose I do. However, I care in the same manner as I would were it an animal that was trying to touch me. And I would not trust an animal that acted against what should be natural instinct.

[Kida, you've just been compared to a small, woodland creature.]
